FX announced the renewal of Legion for Season 3 back in June this year, much to the relief of fans who worried that the show’s ratings decline could force FX to cancel it. The viewership had steadily declined since Season 1 premiered on February 8, 2018. The Season 1 premiere, for instance, pulled in an estimated 1.622 million U.S. viewers, compared with the finale which pulled in only 812, 000 viewers.
