Treasure hunt on The Curse of Oak Island gets huge $3million funding boost

The treasure hunt featured on hit History show The Curse of Oak Island was given a massive $3million cash boost for Season 6 — more than DOUBLE the figure from last year. The Nova Scotia Film and Television Production Incentive Fund (NSFPIF) committed $3.97million Canadian dollars (US$3million) to helping create the program, compared to $1.9million Canadian dollars (US$1.5million) for Season 5.
