Gold Rush is returning for Season 8 and the premiere date has been announced — along with a reveal that it starts with a $100,000 bet. The hit Discovery show was renewed earlier this year and will return on Friday October 13 at 9/8c. According to People, the series starts with Gold Rush stalwart Todd Hoffman bet parker Schnabel $100,000 that he will find the most gold.
